The RV was a true gem. It was a very special experience all around. From the beginning of the journey, getting up the mountain, to arriving and having a space that felt private and comfortable. It was awe inspiring being able to light a fire and sit under the thousands of stars and swim in the absolute bliss that was the soft, silent nature. Thank you to Marlin for offering such a unique location and being such a kind, responsive host. Hope to have the experience again.

The location is breathtakingly beautiful. It was a bit challenging to get to the site but well worth it. If you don’t have a 4×4 or AWD vehicle be prepared for windy and steep dirt/gravel roads. Be sure to get off on Gorman and follow the directions Marlin sends you. The RV has a lot of awesome amenities! Bring your own fire wood and maybe a sponge for your dishes. It does get a bit chilly at night and warm during the day. This was definitely one of the best RV camping experiences I’ve ever had!

A perfect weekend getaway. The RV is located high on a hill. Marlin provides detail directions to find the RV. One thing to note is that the windy road is made of dirt and gravel, but the drive up is worth it. The views are absolutely beautiful. It is isolated and peaceful. In the morning, you can sit in front of the RV and enjoy the sunrise. The sunset is also beautiful, with different shades of pink and purple. At night, you can enjoy the firepit and count the stars. You have the option of purchasing wood from Marlin or brining your own. We went in May and the weather was sunny and chilly. The RV was equipped with a toaster, coffee maker, utensils to cook and eat, and a pot. It is just like camping so you still need to bring a few essentials like a grill. I recommend you come ready to stay a few days because the closes big chain grocery store is about 30 miles away. We were able to watch the local channels (there is no Wi-Fi). My husband was able to connect wirelessly his Verizon phone to the surround system in the RV and we were able to listen to music. Another thing to note is that you will be out in the open air and I recommend you use precaution especially if you bring children or pets. We took our Yorkie and I am glad I carried her in my dog pouch because we did see a snake and a cayote. Nothing to be alarmed about. We stayed on the path and we were able to see ahead of us as we explored the ranch. For the most part, they were more scared of us. But again, use precaution. Overall, if given the opportunity, we would definitely come back.

Highly recommended for weekend getaways out of LA! The camper is in tip top condition, very clean, and the grounds are beautiful. Marlin has a bonfire pit and deck chairs ready for you to kick your feet up and relax. Very dog friendly. The view and the land are truly beautiful and if you’re lucky you’ll see deer off in the distance. Echoing other campers, follow the directions he sends in email — they’re perfect. SUV or 4WD is best for their road. Happy travels!

This was the perfect getaway. Who would’ve thought an RV in the middle of seemingly nowhere would be just the thing our souls needed. Endless hills of poppy flowers provided such a gorgeous, serene view. Marlin was very clear with communication and did a great job at setting the expectation. The directions were clear and not complicated at all. The roads were narrow and gravel-y but overall, any car can make it, however I’m sure Winter is a different story (I drive a small Prius). Upon arriving, we were even able to say hi to a horse and pet it (as the Llamas stared at us from afar). As open and vast as it was, we were still afforded the luxury of maximum privacy. It was perfect isolation.
Thank you Marlin for sharing your space with us.. We will definitely be coming back.

The moon and the stars are exquisite up there. The RV itself is extremely roomy for the 5 of us and 100 times better than expected. All the amenities you could ever need including a Bluetooth player for Spotify from your phone. Spending the night here was no less than enchanting; I’ve never slept better. Bring plenty of wood, s’more makin’s, and some good camp fire stories. This is a magnificent experience. We will definitely be back!

Breathtaking views!!!! The RV is well kept and extremely clean. We went in February during the dry camp season Though there was no running water, Marlin provided a huge tub of fresh water by the kitchen sink and in the bathroom which was more than enough for our needs. A simple breakfast was provided and you get to hang out with the alpacas and camels at the ranch up the hill. Definitely coming back again with my fam! Thanks Marlin!

This RV stay is fantastic. The RV has running water (yes even a hot shower) and electricity. You get the feeling of being out in the wilderness, but you can still use a microwave, use your blow dryer, and take a hot shower. There is even a nice TV for when the kids get restless. Because of how remote the RV is though, the TV only picks up a few stations from an antenna up on the roof. If you want to watch some movies late at night, bring them on a USB flash drive or bring an HDMI connector for your phone. Yep, you can still even get cell service up here (I was able to get two bars of LTE on T-Mobile). The area is beautiful, and there are many amazing animals to check out just up the hill on the farm by the cabins. Making a fire in the fire pit was great, we bought two bushels of wood for $10 and they were brought down to us along with some fire starting material. There was a lighter inside the RV to get you started. The kitchen has plates, utensils, cups, pots and pans, everything you need. There was a breakfast provided with cereal, morning pastries, and even fresh milk in the fridge. Bathroom had new soap and shampoo, along with towels. Beds has fresh washed linens on them. Very clean. Outside there are two chairs with a few additional chairs in the RV storage area, you will find a elevated fire pit as well as a propane bbq for grilling. There are two small trails near the RV marked by tire tracks you can follow, they will end when you reach a gate that marks the end of the property. Additionally you can walk up the hill to the cabins and the main house, but it’s not a hike for small kids, as the incline can be a workout (you may want to drive up and park). Up the hill you will find camels, llamas, and donkeys. They are very friendly and will come up and let you pet them, some of them may bite, but that didn’t happen to us thankfully. The views are incredible and you can see rolling hills from all sides. The drive up is steep and on a dirt road, so go slow. We made it up in a 2 wheel drive hybrid hatchback car, so it’s very doable so long as you go in the warmer months without snow. I wouldn’t chance it in the snow unless I had chains and 4-wheel drive. If you are looking for a place to “camp” but are not the camping type and still want to have AC/Heat running water, and power, this place is perfect, my wife hates camping and she really enjoyed this place and so did my kids. As soon as we got back home they asked when we will be returning. Only thing that could improve the experience would be a small map of trails to show where you can walk around on the property. Wonderful experience.

Amazing, quiet, secluded RV high in the mountains. RV was clean & host, Marlin, was accommodating (leaving 2 bundles of firewood for us). We arrived at night (pay very close attention to the directions!) but were happy for the firewood to make a fire for s’mores.
Waking up to the view was breathtaking. Upon our departure we went back up the hill to check out the animals… donkey, horse, camels, alpacas & llamas. Kids & adults both got a kick out of the farm!
A wonderful stay in the middle of the Grapevine!
